The exhibition celebrates the Women’s Caucus for Art Colorado Chapter 33rd anniversary by showcasing each members' visions of women’s contributions.

Here is my artist statement for "Sky Raga Reverie" 

 

When I started on my life journey 75 years ago, women's dreams were limited to "a woman's position" that might include motherhood, secretary, nun or whore. Now young women are doctors, astronauts, engineers, Congresswomen, Supreme Court Judges, Vice President of the United States. 

 

Fortunately, in the 1960's, I was told "the sky's the limit" to what I could accomplish and I embraced the dream. In my professional career, I was the first woman to break many barriers, Now there are no barriers. Women are traveling "past the sky". 

 

"Sky Raga Reverie" is my testament to: "the sky is NOT the limit NOW”.
