Art Students League of Denver "Give a Little Gift" Exhibition

This year in the "Give a Little Gift" exhibition, I donated "Springtime" a 12" x 12" oil painting from my Flower Series.

Please drop by the Art Students League of Denver to view my work on the second floor next to the stairs and purchase it to raise funds for this valuable asset in the community.

I have benefited greatly from the classes I have taken at the Art Students League of Denver. This is one way I can pay it "forward into the future".

“Simply Small 3: D’art Gallery Members Art Market “

D'art Gallery, 900 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204

D'art Gallery Hours: Thursday Noon - 5 pm, Friday Noon - 9 pm, Saturday Noon - 5 pm, Sunday 1 - 4 pm

I am exhibiting a selection of small paintings that you can purchase and take home with you for holiday gift giving.

“Simply Small 2: D’art Gallery Members Art Market” offers a cornucopia of smaller works by gallery members perfectly priced for holiday giving and decorating that can be purchased and taken home immediately. Works include paintings, prints, monotypes, photography, encaustic, mixed media, sculptures, and ceramics. 
 
Seventeen members of the gallery are sharing their work during the “Simply Small” Exhibition: Terrel Bailey, Dan Baumbach, Jamie Belkind-Gerson, Laura Brenton, Lisa Calzavara, Barbara DeMarlie, Lori Dresner, Suzanne Frazier, Ashton Lacy Jones, Tara Kelley-Cruz, Carrie MaKenna, Morgan Leigh McKenna, Emily Oldak, Lydia Riegle, Kim Roberts, Jean Smith, and Vicky Smith.

Special Christmas Week Shopping Hours:  Monday, December 20 – Friday, December 24, Noon – 5 pm.
 
D’art Gallery will be closed for Thanksgiving and the holidays between December 25, 2021 and December 31, 2021. The gallery will open on January 1, 2022

2023 Contemplative Art Workshops

If you have always wanted to draw in your own style in a supportive atmosphere or wanted to draw from a meditative point-of-view, these are the workshops for you.

As you begin to draw, you will quickly discover your inner intuitive process to create a personal expression you had no idea you could complete when you began to draw.

For participants with no art-making experience, you will have the opportunity to discover your creativity in a safe, supportive environment.

For experienced artists, you will find the workshops helpful to expand your creative experience to include a meditative approach to your personal expression.

Saturday Art Workshops

for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Artists

Color Theory for Artists

At each session, you will receive handouts about the history, meaning and associations with the six complimentary colors, and, white, black & gray. By the end of the workshop series, you will understand the subtleties of color through the experience of discovering your personal pallet. No art experience is necessary.

Saturday Art Workshop

Each month we will look at different ways to express yourself through composition, color theory and other topics to enhance your personal expression

Evolution of Abstraction

Each month we will look at one artist or a group of artists in detail to discover how their style contributed to what we know as "abstraction". We will analyze their style, choice of colors and themes. We will take inspiration from their perspectives and creativity to inspire our own personal expression. No art experience is necessary.

Workshops are scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm

Between the morning and afternoon sessions, we will gather for lunch at a local restaurant.

By the end of the day you will have completed two oil pastel drawings.

Boxes of oil pastels are available for purchase for $10, or, bring your own box of oil pastels.

Cost $80 ( includes Materials Fee for Paper), or,

$90 ( includes box of oil pastels and paper)
