Artma 14th Biannual Charity Art Auction

I am delighted to be able to donate my oil painting "Full Moon Over Longmont Hills" to this charity event.

I will be at the reception.

Artma is a unique, funky, and fabulous biennial auction of art, all of which is donated by local, regional, and nationally recognized artists. The proceeds of artma support The Morgan Adams Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the quality of life and survival rates of children, teens, and young adults diagnosed with cancer.

Artma began when Morgan Adams, a beautiful six-year-old girl, lost her 11-month battle with a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor. It is in her honor, and in tribute to all kids and teens who been through or are going through a similar journey, that artma has become a gift of love and hope. Through the generous donations of art from local, regional, and nationally recognized artists and the incredible support of our community, artma has truly become a magical event!

Contemplative Art Classes & Workshops

2023 Contemplative Art Workshops

If you have always wanted to draw in your own style in a supportive atmosphere or wanted to draw from a meditative point-of-view, these are the workshops for you.

As you begin to draw, you will quickly discover your inner intuitive process to create a personal expression you had no idea you could complete when you began to draw.

For participants with no art-making experience, you will have the opportunity to discover your creativity in a safe, supportive environment.

For experienced artists, you will find the workshops helpful to expand your creative experience to include a meditative approach to your personal expression.

Saturday Art Workshops

for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Artists

Color Theory for Artists

At each session, you will receive handouts about the history, meaning and associations with the six complimentary colors, and, white, black & gray. By the end of the workshop series, you will understand the subtleties of color through the experience of discovering your personal pallet. No art experience is necessary.

Saturday Art Workshop

Each month we will look at different ways to express yourself through composition, color theory and other topics to enhance your personal expression

Evolution of Abstraction

Each month we will look at one artist or a group of artists in detail to discover how their style contributed to what we know as "abstraction". We will analyze their style, choice of colors and themes. We will take inspiration from their perspectives and creativity to inspire our own personal expression. No art experience is necessary.

Workshops are scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm

Between the morning and afternoon sessions, we will gather for lunch at a local restaurant.

By the end of the day you will have completed two oil pastel drawings.

Boxes of oil pastels are available for purchase for $10, or, bring your own box of oil pastels.

Cost $80 ( includes Materials Fee for Paper), or,

$90 ( includes box of oil pastels and paper)
